RATTLING KEYS!!!!

Oh my god its the most anoyiung thing i have the "electric start limitied lx ......BLAH BLAH BLAH....well i love the ped but i have a decent about of keys on it.............. and it says you can kick start it but you cant kick start it with out the keys which bothers me alot...........but thats off topic.............ok whwn i drive i have my geys in the little slot and it just rattles so much and its so loud...... i dotn want to seperate the ignition key from all my other keys....is thier any advice for me to do to quite this down.......also is ther a way where i can start it with out the key????????

Can you put it in the run position and pull the key out? I don't recall ever seeing a motorcycle that you could not do it with.

Since you don't care if the bike starts without a key, why don't you just leave the key in the ignition.. or am i the victim of a joke?

no if i leave the ket in the ignition some one could take it then i cant start it

Dan, turn the key in "run" position, hack saw off the rest of the key, then put JB Weld over it to keep it in that position. Problem remedied!

Another suggestion- buy a washing machine lint trap, the kind that is 2" long and you wrap it on the water release pipe- anyway, buy one of these and put the lint trap on it when you drive.

Or use a rubberband to band your keys together while driving?

Another alternative, take the ignition out and hook it up from the back, in a way that the wiring is configured for "run" position. Put the key back in. And leave it on the "off" position, even though the wiring is actually constantly in the run position. A good theft deterrant and still have the functionality of a moped without a key/lock.

Wow.... How about get out a multimeter, set it to continuity, find out which wires are connected at different key settings. Bingo, then install a super secret ignition switch somewhere. that switch will be your "key"

Or you could just deal with it, or learn to like it.. Pretend the key ratteling sound, is money gingle-ing in your pocket. that will make you feel rich, and good all the time.

This is a terrible situation. I'm starting to get very nervous about this. There may be no solution. It's well known you can easily be driven mad by jingling keys.. if i recall the Chinese had a jingling key - information extraction torture chambers, finally outlawed by the Geneva Convention.

I'm going to suggest you play it safe and trade that bike in for a skateboard, before it's too late!
