Puch ZA50 crankshaft removal

Sean Mcguire /

I'm down to the point where I've split the crankcase. The transmission has not been disassembled. Do I have to do this to remove the crankshaft from the clutch side, or is it just a press fit that I can pound out / use some extractor tool? How do I take the tranny apart?

I would not pound on the crank. it is two piece and you can knock it out of alignment. You have to hold it in a vise by the crank weight on the clutch side only, then use a puller to take the clutch off. There is a service manual on-line in resources.
