Hello. Can someone please point out where the carburetor is on this picture?
You can't see it.
At the very top of the foto is the fuel shut off valve with the dark brown fuel line coming out of it. If you follow the fuel line down it will connect to the carb.
its right behind the airbox, the white thing in the upper lefish corner directly behind the kickstart(where it pivots at)
now that I look again that migh not be the airbox, it could just be a carb housing, either way it is directly above the word Suzuki on the drive housing
That gray shield covers the oil pump and at the angle you are shooting covers the view of the carb. Take the cover off (two screws) and you'll have access to the left side of the carb. Take off the air cleaner from the other side and have better access to the whole carb.
Thanks much, now I can finaly clean it.
While you have it off to clean, make sure you do a real thorough job. FA50 carb cleaning has been discussed many time of this forum. The carb should be cleaned inside and out, using a combination of solvent, tin wire probes and compressed air to do a proper job. Use the search feature and you should find earlier discussions. Good luck.
