runs good then dies after a while of riding

i'll be going along just fine, for about 10-20 minutes of riding but if i start to let off the gas even a little it will die and the only way i can get it started again is let it sit for a while. If i try to start it right back up it will pop once after i stop pedaling but sometimes i can pull the clutch alot of times very quick while pedaling and it will run.

so i was wondering if it could need a new spark plug or if it was getting flooded or what?

Re: runs good then dies after a while of riding

check your timing, that's what it sounds like.

clean your gas cap vent.

You got a serious fuel flow problem, make sure all carburator orifices are clear, important in near freezing conditions.

Re: runs good then dies after a while of riding

sounds like you either have a fuel problem in the line or petcock, or you have a bad coil that will stop running after it's hot. maybe even a condensor.

First, pull the plug wire and check for spark.
