Those pedal crank pins can be difficult to remove. What I do is spray it real good with WD-40 and then unscrew the nut so that the nut is flush with the bottom of the pin. I then repeatedly strike the nut with a mallet. If that doesn't work, you may end up hammering it out with a hammer, but that will most surely run the threads of the pin and you'll need to get a replacement pin.
