I have a 78 Moby...If I'm riding along and then say come to a stop sign or something, if I don't rev the throttle, the motor will die....When I do rev it, it will idle high....If I'm already moving and I let go of the throttle, I will keep going at about 5-7 mph - that's how high my idle is.....

Try making your Idle higher......oh yeah...if you are stopped with that high idle, and you start to go...you will hear your motor go to a much lower pitch (sound) before it goes up as you accelerate......

Good luck
