FA50 idles, won't go

I have a 1987 Suzuki FA50, and have been having this problem often. My moped will start and idle, at very high speeds when set, but as soon as I open the throttle the smallest amount, the engine dies.

Any ideas? Thanks

have you adjusted the idle screw its near the oil pump. also do you have the air filter and exhaust on it. also check the position of the choke. I have one of these bikes and can help you some.

Well the thing is in some trouble. now it really doesn't idle. After a few kicks I'll get a burst out of it, but it dies right away. I don't really know a lot about these things, so I usually end up taking them in. Hopefully it won't be too much of a repair.
