I truely beleive the best plug is a Bosch platinum. When i put those on my puch, i swear it has faster acceration and just a bit of more speed. Try it before you argue with me, heres the plug #.... W8AP.

Also, i dont think it fare to say a car company is better than another unless it is a hyundai, kia, deawoo, or any other new brand similiar to those. But really, every company had their crap, like ford and its famous escort, and chevy with its cavalier. Now everyone also has some good, like my dads chevy truck from 71' with a straight 250 inline 6. The truck may be rusty, but will out haul my ranger v6. Ford had some good and some bad, likewise for chevy

I use Bosch Platinum plugs in all my VW's, and you do notice the difference!

A friend thought I was blowing smoke up his ass when I told him this, so I bought him a set of Bosch plugs, and told him to make a liar out of me--he's STILL using Bosch plugs!

Well, I compare that to my VW Golf, which at only ~47,000 mi is absolutely the worst car I've ever owned. Constant problems since new. Many problems since the warranty expired. I don't expect it to reach 100k mi.
