i don't know if this is blindingly obvious or as good an idea as i thought it was when i first did it,i used to own a lot of old lambrettas,the one thing guaranteed to let them down was the ignition system,the points and condenser are a bitch to get at so i did this-points obviously have to stay where they are but you can put the condenser where you like as long as it is earthed to the motor,i used to mount them on top of the crankcase where i could get to them,like i say it might be obvious but it saves a lot of hassle if one goes down.

Good tip, as long as they can keep the condensor out of the water splash and reasonably dry. I have never had a condensor fail that I can remember in all my many riding miles. don-ohio (:^)
