hole in fuel tank.

the honda express I looked at has a hole in the top of the tank about the size of the tip of a tack.I dont think it could leak much more than a drop a hour if it was suspended upsidown.upsidown is the only way it could leak since it is on the top of the tank.My dad thinks this is a huge deal,is it?

i would think not. you could seal it pretty easy i would think. perhaps even good old duck tape would work

Re: hole in fuel tank.

Not really, the gas cap has vents in it so that air can get in the tank during normal operation. Still, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a kreem kit and seal up the tank. There may be other areas that are weak, or that hole could get much bigger.

I was planning to seal it with something, what should I use?

Re: hole in fuel tank.

JB Weld, should be able to find it at any home improvement store or Walmart. Very easy to use and works great.

Re: hole in fuel tank.

1977 Vespa Bravo if it matters.
