they are so tiny.. the little plastic case can be pulled apart if you twist it and pull.. but a tiny spring , two tiny metal contacts and the tiny plastic plunger will suddenly launch into the atmosphere

Then, unless the plastic plunger was obviously broken, you end up wondering what was wrong with the switch..

If the plunger is there but it wont move in or out, try WD40.. take it apart as a last resort. You might need some sort of glue to keep it together after the repair.
