My 1978 50v is pretty well, untill I stop, then it often won't start again untill it cools down. Any ideas anyone?

You may want to try pedaling or pushing the bike until the engine begins to engage.....then use the throttle. Do not use the choke or the clutch levers....the enging is already hot

good luck

Does you engine turn over? Your clutch may heat up, causing the shoes not to grip. You could also have electrical issues in your condensor or coils.

My Peugeot would ride fine for about 20 minutes, then it would die and refuse to start again. It turned out to be overheating due to an air leak on my intake. It wasn't soft-seizing the cylinder, but for some reason the heat would kill the engine. It could have been my condensor, but once I fixed the air leak and it was running normally, I never had any problems with getting spark again.
