Leaded or Unleaded?

Hey all, I wasnt sure where to post this question, but . . .

I am restoring a 1971 Jawa moped and I think they used leaded gasoline back then, but am not sure as I was born a decade too late-

does anyone know if I should be putting a lead substitute with my gasoline, or if the two-stroke oil mixture is enough -

thanks a lot for your responses!

I have a 1978 puch free spirit, and I usually add a little lead additive just to be on the safe side. You don't have to add any, but you can add a little bit to you're pre-mix(1-2 ounces would be fine). Because it's an older engine, a little lead should help it out.

Hope this helps,

Thanks James, that makes sense. I appreciate the advice -

honestly, I think it will be pretty amazing if I can get this thing running on _any_ kind of gas mix lol
