I give it the gas and it dies

I was doing some matainence on my `78 Pacer; check the gear oil, wax it up, clean the carb, ext. Now, i can get it started and it idles fine, but when i take off the choke it seems underpowered and when i give it the gass, it picks up for a second or two then stalls.

I think its the carb, but i cleaned it like 5 times. Its a Dellorto SHA 12.

It needs more/less air. Try it with the airfilter on/off. If it better with it on you need to upjet, with it off you need to downjet. Check plug too. Clean points maybe.

my c-70 was doing the same thing.. I would give it gas, and it just kept dying.. turns out, the guy who had it before me cleaned the carb and forgot to put the jet back in.. check that. sounds dumb.. but seriously.

You may have messed up the float level while cleaning the carb. Check that.
