sachs repair

i just bought an 82 sachs general. it isn't running now but it shouldn't take much to get it running. one thing i need is the cable that engages the engine and the headlight. also, is the battery required for the engine to run and stay running? any help at all on sachs repair is appreciated.

Re: sachs repair

The decompression cable to engage the engine is available at <>. You can also order a headlight there. The battery is not required to start the engine, it is only for turn signals.

Otherwise, just make sure the carburator is clean, mix your gas 50:1 using two-stroke oil, and there's Type F Automatic Transmission fluid in the transmission.
