For Sale

This is a great collectable because of its rarity. This is a 1978 Honda PA-50 Moped. It is yellow with a gold eagle on the headlight. I purchased it last fall at a household auction on a spontaneous last minute bid. The auctioneer said that the owner confirmed it was in running condition. After I got it home,I did notice that it needs a new rear brake cable, an ignition switch, and a fuel filter. I checked with the local Honda dealer and all these parts are available for under $100.00. This does not include labor, but it would be easy to fix on your own. I originally was going to fix it myself, but my children have no interest in it, So I decided to sell it. Please E-mail me if you have any questions.

Re: For Sale

how much will you sell the moped for

Re: For Sale

I saw the picture of that bike. How much are you asking for it and where do you live? I live in Wisconsin and I use to have a bike like that. If it is still for sale, I really want it. I saw one for sale last summer and it was not even half as good as this bike looks. The seat was gone, no lights, it didn't run, just plain junk and the guy wanted $1000.00 for it. The next day I went back to see if I could shake a deal with him and he said a guy just picked it up that morning. For $1000.00 even. So if you have this bike yet, I know that it is worth at least a thousand dollars, so lets deal. Thank you, Jack Knauf Also, if anybody else knows where I can get one from, please let me know. Thanks

Re: For Sale

Hi Jack, I just sold the Moped on E-bay for $405.00 last Monday and I am still waiting for the winning bidder to Respond and pay for it! I know the second bidder had bid up to $400.00 and E-mailed me that he would still be interested, but by E-bay policies, I am required to honor the winning bid, and the winner is required to contact the seller and pay for it. So I am sure that he will be contacting me soon. Otherwise it is an E-bay problem and they will have to deal with him to get him to follow through on his bid. So sorry, but I can tell you that since the auction closed, I have had at least 5 people E-mail me and offer a lot more than what it actually went for at the auction. So I wish I wouldn't have sold it for that price. Thanks for inquiring and I do know of someone who has a 1978 Hobbit for sale and they are asking $700.00 for that. Let me know if you are interested. It does run , but it also has 6100 miles on it.

Re: For Sale

I say the hell with the little twerp. If he has not called by now, I wouldn't waste my time. Where do you live. I live in Wisconsin and as soon as you give the magic word, I will come straight over to your home, and I'll give you a mimimum of $1,000.00. As I said, I had one of those bikes, and they were the best. I really want one again so I will definately give you as much as you want. Otherwise, if the dude does come to pick it up, give him my E-mail address and tell him that he can double his moeny just for doing nothing.

Re: For Sale

I'm not worried about him paying for it. He doesn't have a choice. E-bay don't screw around, they will get him to arrange for not only getting the moped, but also paying for it. He doesn't have a choice. But after he does pick it up and pay for it, I will give him your E-mail address. Thanks, Jim
