Hello, i recently acquired a vespa ciao, but it was missing its freewheel. i tried to buy one off treatland but it didn’t fit. the one i bought was threaded, but my axle is keyed. if anyone has or knows where i could get a keyed freewheel for this bike, it would really help. thank you.

As stated above, you need the axle nut into which the freewheel mounts.
For future reference though, you have an early, keyway-type transmission. So wheel swaps or trans gear swaps will not be a possibility.
yep. still, that’s threaded, i need keyed. the freewheel i bought of treatland had that
so what should i do? where do i find that special freewheel?
Try Sunday Morning Motors. Or buy a more modern gearbox assy. Then you can m ride till you find your vintage parts.
I'd find a different wheel and transmission.
I have one like that on an early boxer. Pretty rare in the states.
I sold a Boxer hub on this forum couple years back don't remember who.I got a newer hub and replaced it.Not that hard to do.Also saw a keyed freewheel adapter on Electric scooter parts.com they had a 15 and 20 mm shaft size . Good luck.
Also 1" 3/4" and 5/8" shaft sizes available. Company call Station sells bike motor stuff has several also including a unbored one you could have machined.
Fyi, totally unecessary to get motor spinning, just push start.
Probly still want to have something on there to support the integrity of the frame
