I grabbed a grey and blue one in Buffalo 3 years ago for $350. It ran and only needed new tires, fuel line, petcock, and an engine rebuild, so maybe I have $550 into it. I like the red better. Your price reflects east coast and covid prices, so it's probably not too bad.
