Haha I honestly think this came off a ds50 or something. Looks like there is a spring under that metal piece. The cable guide/tab above the fan cutout makes me think that the metal piece is somehow related to it. Aside from that it's the same as the other covers I have here.

Turns out this is for a ds50 with the fancy foot brake. However, works just fine on a Variant with a normal flat reed

its part of the pedal arm holding mechanism on ds50. can be easily removed and ran on a regular non-world champ flat reed.
