This is going on craigslist tomorrow.
It's in southern California, and I'd prefer local pick up. I have no idea how to ship a moped. I mean, I do, but it just sounds like a big hassle.
Anyway...
1978 Cuyuna Scorpion, made by NVT (Norton Villiers Triumph) in England with Italian parts, imported to the US by Cuyuna Snowmobiles.
Fake pop-up fiberglass top tank. In good shape, silver repainted and clear coated.
Seat looks great, but it's dried out and started to rip.
Morini mo2 with new piston, rings, and the cylinder is a nice used one from myron's mopeds.
Motor is cleaned, timed, everything works, nothing leaks, two speed shifts, points point and condenser condenses.
Tank is clean, no rust, new pop up cap, new petcock.
Chrome is very good, paint is very good. Polished and waxed.
Clean wiring, new switch, new plug wire, all lights work, horn works, brake light works.
Has new union pedals I put on tonight.
Will have a new black chain on it tomorrow.
Starts easy, shifts, rides good, stops as well as any other 42 year old drum brake stops.
Rebuilt SHA, 14:12.
Bill of sale, last registered in Arizona over 20 years ago.
Moped army member special price is $1400 firm.
Remember, I'm in California. That's cheap for a clean bike here... (edited)
