Puch Maxi S 1976 - For Sale - New England (Southeastern Massachusetts). Manufactured by Steyr-Damiler-Puch AG Austria in 1975. Purchased from original owner in 2010 and last registered in Massachusetts in 2017. Had this running last year and just needs some throttle work. Recently replaced carb, fuel line and petcock. Many original accessories including tools, tool bag, side basket, 2 keys and original owner note. Plenty of closeup pictures available of all the details. Such a beautiful machine. $1550.

The day any maxi is worth what a Derbi GPR is worth I'm gonna be a fuckin millionaire. Looks like a pretty decent bike, don't get me wrong, but it's just not worth $1500. No stock moped is with the exception of an LTD magnum, Peugeot TSM/TSA, and a Derbi Laguna/RD50/Diablo/etc.

Not like it’s a rare bike, they made 900,000+ of them not to mention the thin rim with bicycle handlebar maxis are worth even less then a later model one, These people who come up with these prices seem to be from another planet I think.

A good price for that bike would be between the trade-in price to the full blown retail price

Moped is a motor-vehicle, who in their right mind would pay more then double the price for a used Car, Motorcycle or boat

Then post them on BaT. You'll probably get more than you're asking. Those bikes weren't worth that and this one isn't either. I don't know who's buying those but they're in for an awakening when they try to sell them again.

Exactly. No fuckin way I would pay 1200 for a stock maxi. Not worth it for one in a crate to me. 500-600 max. I still wouldn't pay that but some people will. I see way to many crazy prices for peds now. I see the 1000 honda express and just shake my head. We all could be millionaires now with these prices (edited)

Man, LOTS of stuff "sells" on BAT.

You'll also find a lot of that stuff "sells" on BAT more than once.

People post from one account, buy from another, then a few months later they sell it again and "i bought it here on BAT awhile back and i LOVE IT but i have too much stuff". is added to the post to give validity to that insane fucking price.

It's horseshit.

DirtyD IS right though, in some cities like here in Boston, a tight stock bike will fetch that much. But those run, and someone spent a couple hours to clean them at least.

I'm afraid the comments above are right. I've been up to my eyeballs in Maxi's all summer and that price is way out of market for the greater Boston area. Maybe $600 for that bike.
