Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

Completely functional and tastefully custom MB5 with almost all the fixins. No, its not raced out and sketch. Yes, you can even drive it and I promise it won't blow up. I've put blood, sweat, and love into this bike and it's time to let it go.

Important bits:

-PINK SLIPPPPP

-70cc Athena kit

-VM20 + adjustable jet

-MLM Putt putt pipe

-HPI mini rotor + regulator/rectifier + LED conversion that doesn't blow dicks

-SOLDERED WIRE HARNESS: none of that iffy splice shit. all wiring was soldered solid and wrapped in either heatshrink or electrical tape or hooked up with spade connectors

-stuffy crank

-seals/bearings/gaskets replaced

-new clutch plates

-custom seat

With the exception of the speedo lights for neutral, oil level, and gas level, i can guarantee everything works as it should. anyone here worth their 2-stroke salt with this partslist should know this is a ripper.

ever want to move up a weight class and get urself a shifty fifty that looks ehhhh not terrible? here is your damn chance before i talk myself out of it

am i a """""RICH""""" sucker who has more money than sense???? am i a poser fraud who likes talking about the parts on the bike than the actual running bike??? am i a dumbass fool who doesn't appreciate the stock platform that Honda in their infinite wisdom bestowed on us mortals???? is this another example of overpriced liBerAL cOaSTaL ciTY mopeds artificially inflating the already rare market supply of "mopeds"???? am i a dirty hipster who chops up perfectly fine (it wasn't) stockers to get that cAFe rAcER look???? wow! ponder all these theories and MORE to justify your reality-tv "itch" to know JUST HOW this ended up being sold

do i know i put too much money into a "50cc" "moped" and dude wtf are you doing spending all that time/energy/money into something that small rofl: the answer is yes, yes i do. and yes, i know i can probably get way more money for this on other suckers for i dunno like $2500 on Craigslist or whatever. But honestly, I'll take the $700 hit and let it go to someone on MA who can give it the attention and love it needs. I'd really love to see rally pics in the future of this little dude floating around the internet.

thanks for coming to my ted talk yall, please like, subscribe, and leave a comment below. $1800 cash in hand, i dont do delivery but i do have a ramp and also two arms to help load it up in your truck/home depot rental/pinto/VW bug

P.S. all 4 turn signals are staying with me and thats non-negotiable lol

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

OH, it has a tool pan cover for sure, i just hid the wiring, light switches, and everything in the tool pan and it unscrews and screws on like it should.

lemme know what photos you want and i can take em for you. i'm just no good with glam shots so i ended up not having any (edited)

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

How about start with a MA group here in LA area lol I noticed we don’t have one. Once I get my moped & this covid is done, it would be dope to meet up and get together. Mopeds & coffee? (edited)

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

holy crap a LA mb5 group, we'd have like 4 people lol

if you folks arent already, the Woolly Bullies moped gang have a FB group to keep track of local events

Hepatitis J [OFMC] /

Cross Valley Air Cooled has a couple of mb5/ARs. They had a rally tentatively planned for labor day-ish but I haven't heard anything about that in months, it's probably been postponed or cancelled.

Most of the Woolly Bullies moved out of LA when they closed all of the Koo Koo Roos.

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

My friend Jerson just scored on 3 mb5's 2 red complete and I white one in parts...lucky ass

So r we riding? Just got my shit sorted.

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

Sweet bikes, what is the aversion to fenders though? I miss my MB-5, would sell every bike I own to have it back.

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

Someone in LA offered me one in trade for my Cuyuna Scorpion. bunch of texting back and forth for the next two days, I was all set to do it, then right after the last back and forth text, they sold it.

Was it one of you guys?

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

Pushrod Fifty /

I like the MB5 in red, bone stock. Dont see many of them.

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

Lack of fenders is because it doesn't rain in so cal, hence it being on fire at the moment.

I think there's enough MB5s now to do this.

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

i'm riding dirty at the moment, has anyone registered their MB5 as a moped?

its a toss up. i've seen people on MA post about registering as a moped which works, but you run the risk of getting pulled over by the rare cop who gets/understands moped law. safest bet is to have it registered as a motorcycle but that'll come with insurance and shit.

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

Hmmm, might as well bite the bullet. I'll probably go the vermont route, did it once for an xl200r and it worked out...just took a while.

Re: Selling my MB5: $1800 LA, CA

Hey bro you still have that Mb5
