You’ll never find another LTD tank so salvage that one. Evaporust for the tank is your best bet and it’s reusable.

Yes I have the whole bike and yes I plan on keeping it, and yes it's going through some life changes, dont be disappointed just be happy someone is wanting to care for it and resurrect it!

I also like to watch the world burn. please, continue your plans to resurrect. i would absolutely not ever tell you to de-rust and re-paint that tank, or ditch those spoke wheels and garbage fork for tomos A55 wheels n fork. nope. don't do that. you don't want a lower ride height and better brakes or fresh paint.

but that is some sweet patina. perhaps clean it and clearcoat only?

repro fairing can be found easy. lmao @almost mint. i offered the guy a running bike two seconds after he posted this. good ole #099 is baby blue now? i would have e50 swapped that turd an rode it like he found it. @chris broome ive got 3 turn signal housings/lenses if you need them. i also have a running riding e50 maxi s for $300. if you want to swap out the motor. lmk PM me.

i didnt see the spray-bomb before my last comment... my gas tank was sanded, cleaned, primered and then painted with multiple layers of engine enamel... cause gas+oil => spray-bomb remover

it was a red magnum tank with rust holes, not the fairing-matching tank.
