The Jammers were pretty tight, I hope they make another run, it’s not as good as my Hammer, but damn fine, and a better value for sure

Another run yes, I'd be down for one for sure. Curious as to the demand for these, maybe this thread could be an influence?

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

Wish I could get one too!

Everything on Treats is outta stock, Covid has supply lines so fucked, maybe by fall with the vaccine roll outs, we'll see some positive supply improvements

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

I want a hammer or hammer. I was lucky enough to snag a 3shoe kickstart clutch for my noi. I just need to figure out how to actually start my bike if I use it. Ha!

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

i'd be interested in one (or two) as well! Who made them for Treats?

What all is involved in getting the components to make the puch e50 bell fit the Garelli gear? Does anyone have photos or drawings of what's needed? Seems like that may be a feasible idea...

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

Word on the street is the place that does the lining is dragging their feet, probably because they suck and don’t want our garelli to rip.

They did a shit job on the first batch, I jb welded mine and it’s been gold ever since

I've been in contact with treats about this since last May. COVID fucked production, that's just how it goes. My last exchange with them was in late Nov 2020: "Hello, We have some parts of the clutch here and others are still delayed. I'm sorry!!!! Hopefully we will have them soon. Thank you!!!! Benji"

I also recall the new years sale in their email they said something like "2021 is the year of the Garelli" so I'm hoping that means there's good news on the horizon.

Just bummed I saw someone score one a month or two ago on a thread they just happened to get lucky and someone that had one for sale saw their post. Only reason I'm bumping this... (edited)

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

I am also waiting eagerly to purchase one!

bump because i see someone else looking for one and i asked first! lol

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

Pretty sure that has been done by welding in the funky washer/spacer that matches a Garelli crank to the E50 bell. Did you search it?

Pretty sure I've seen this mentioned but if I remember correctly you'd also need to modify the bell and there may have been some fuckery with the starter mechanism too. I've also seen mentions of using a V1 clutch somehow too but I'm really looking for something more plug and play.

Yea, I was hoping for more of a bolt-and-go solutions, since they _do_ exist. These sorts of mods you mention, from what I've seen at least, require hacking up some sort of starting mechanism and/or making permanent modifications to parts that, when/if I acquire a jammer, cannot be undone without re-buying them.

Anyway, shameless bump.

Yea, I pinged you on fb messenger about them. Nice score, be super rad if you decided to sell me one ;)

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

Oh and that Jammer is awesome in my Rally Sport.... riding the shit out of it

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

Seems like we could recreate these

K, well everyone else is bumping their "I want a garelli clutch" threads so I'll do the same since I asked first! :)

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

I'm a waitin' on the grand slammer clutch (from Denny's) to come out, or the bammer (made in Alabama of course). (edited)

If we could get shoes lined anything is possible.

What's to stop someone from lining some clutch shoes with that asbestos friction material from McMaster-Carr with some pc7 epoxy? I know people do it with Tomos clutches.

^^ not going to lie, this actually sounds like a legit idea! Don't know why none of us have thought of it before! Give it a go and let us know how it turns out!

Well I don't have a hunk of metal that fits my garelli crank to glue material to...

I have enough stuff to make up the second picture he posted but not the first. That's basically a kick start clutch and you'd have to figure a way to start your bike.......

Re: WTB hammer or jammer clutch for Garelli NOI

So a person could get it tuned up right so that there's no fear of it dying on a ride, and go with the drag racing method of an external starter...

Remove the side cover and start the engine with a drill on the flywheel, then toss the drill in a backpack and ride it out.

If you wanted to keep the cover on (you know you do!) I suppose you could pick up a second side cover and pop a hole in it for easy access to the flywheel nut without removing the cover, then find a plug for the hole when not in use, but man, I'm not condoning people wrecking these already hard to find bits.
