Sachs 2 speed balboa

This bike is too cool for me.

197? Sachs balboa with a manual shift two speed 505/2a with a D cylinder and intake. Does about 30mph and is a ton of fun. I've been riding this more than my motorcycles lately. Just serviced the shifter mechanism. New cables, tires look new. Paint is meh but a super cool color. Seat leaves some to be desired, but not bad. Shifts great! Missing an airbox but honestly I was going to switch to a different carb.

450$ pickup only near dayton or columbus, ohio.

Re: Sachs 2 speed balboa

I'd rather sell this to a moped person... hate to throw it on craigslist or faceplace.

Bump

Re: Sachs 2 speed balboa

Never seen a moped with a manual shift - how does it work?

It's a hand shift similar to a bicycle. They're pretty sweet. No clutch, you have 1st, neutral, and 2nd. The left brake assembly rotates to shift if I recall correctly

You were just there lol nothings changed. What did you see that sparks your interest?

Re: Sachs 2 speed balboa

mike, i dont mean to clutter your ad. where in the hell did you find that wood box to the right in your first pic? i have two of those that were given to me by the manufacturer of them. a good friend of mine, mark krauss made store display installations. his shop was in clayton oh. those boxes where made for a liz claiborn display. granted they made a shit ton of them. it just kind of blew my mind to see one in your shop space. fyi the ribbed rubber pad on top of the box. i used it to replace missing rubber on side covers for a tomos bullet, and a cimatti city bike. worked great, and if you didnt know any better you would think they were oem to the bikes. lol

Re: Sachs 2 speed balboa

Brah I was there for 10 minutes and you were telling me to get out cuz you had a game to watch. I cant remember what I had for breakfast half the time.

Re: Sachs 2 speed balboa

@wes, I actually got it from darrell before he moved. I use it to store my stock exhaust and misc crap lol. I like it alot, it's very sturdy. Cool to see some history on it.

Re: Sachs 2 speed balboa

Depends, which one are you willing to sell?

Re: Sachs 2 speed balboa

The white and black one is slowly getting better and better. I'd consider selling that one. Its powdercoated and whatnot, 60cc kit, notched vario, circuit pipe with an estoril baffle, mlm.inrake on a 20phbg.

Email me or find me on facebook, I cant access my pm's for some reason.
