200 original miles. Tank and carb have both been drained for long term storage. Couple scuffs in plastic, but a very nice bike. Comes with original tool kit and manual. Inside of tank is beautiful. Bike has always been stored in garage. Last started a year ago and ran fine. 2200 firm, bike is located in Massachusetts and I will help with your shipper.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

Thanks Stephen.

Zach, the price is 2200 firm

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

Actually had a strange request on Tuesday, someone offered my 550 just for the fuel tank. I told him no, but the more I think of it, the bike is probably worth more in pieces.

Parting this MB5 would be a monumental disappointment.

They are not THAT rare, but yes, piecing this out seems a bit unecessary. It is the time of year slowing down sales. Patience and you will easily get your price in the Spring.

I am in gathering mode right now, taking full advantage of the frozen season. I just made a deal on a mint Buell P3 with under 4500 miles on it for $1300 bacuse the person has no winter storage. That is the Northeast quandry. Feast or famine.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

I agree, parting it would be a shame. I’m not in a hurry to sell. If it sells, it’s one less thing I have to walk by in the garage.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

That said, I probably would entertain offers for the very hard to find luggage rack. I have owned at least six of these over the years and this is the only one I have had.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

Beautiful bike! I remember seeing this on the local Boston craigslist.

If you do part it, I'd be up for making an offer on those wheels :)

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

I've got $1800.00 Cash.

We've spoken,

Throw it in a truck, and come see Philadelphia.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

Sorry man, the price is firm, or it can sit in the garage

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

clean, but wowwww that's a nuts amount of cash for an mb5. Take that dude's $1,800 and run it to the bank before he changes his mind.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

I have sold multiple mb5’s for 1500 that weren’t half as nice as this one. It will be parted before it’s sold for that price.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

Thanks for all the support from the people that private messaged me regarding the price. I agree with you guys that the listed price is very fair.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

They ARE pretty rare, I could see 2k, but I don't want it that bad, but in the spring someone will, given the condition, it would be a real shame to part this out. Sadly money is not worth what it was, what 1k used to buy is now 2 etc, something that sucks, but must be remembered when taking pricing into consideration. I would put this on e-bay or even on a classic motorcycle site, as the people with the money you are looking for are there. (edited)

THIS.

There are only so many MB5s (insert any moped here). As they drift farther and farther towards the vintage segment, and more and more clean stock bikes are taken apart and modded by enthusiasts, the price of a clean, unmolested example goes up. I mean, I have seen people sell non-running MB5's, without gas tank or seat for $500.

Sooner than later, mopeds are going to be more like vintage hard-body scooters in price.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

It is crazy what za-50's go for, but that site would be a great place to sell this bike. More serious collectors, and the bike is less likely to get butchered, spray bombed black, made into a cafe racer and impounded....lol! :)

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

BaT is for buyers with more money than time. For rarer items, the froth can be unreal. Me? I'm just there to read the comments.

I didn't meen to insult anyone, I made an offer on a bike I've never seen, heard run,and was willing to take a chance. I like it.

But,shipping, time off from work, and Family do play apart in this CRAZY hobby.

I've got to meet in people over the years threw this site:) This isn't a $ making thing for me. I restore and collect.

So,I'm interested and the cat just hacked on my rug again.

I'VE GOT TO GO FOR NOW.

THANK YOU for having me guys,

Reelquick.

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

Why is a Z A50 being brought into this sale?

Re: 1982 Honda Mb5 200 Original Miles

He meant Z-50, as in the Honda mini bike

I'm sure no tags, title or paper work after talking to you.

I'm trying to buy it, I'll give you your asking price.

Your 6 hours away, you called me and we spoke.

I send a truck, its picked up.Simple.

You said in your post "You would help with shipping "

Than you raise your price?
