Actually 2hp maxis are uncommon in ohio, which is why I thought it was kind of cool.
We had a 20mph statute in the moped laws here which brought a lot of 1hp and 1.5 bikes.

You are nuts because you weren’t even born yet!
In 1978 almost everything was 30mph and then some, my first Moped that was Italian I bought a Rick case Kawasaki in 1977 went near mph stock and after removing the plugs in the airbox and up jetting one size went 40+ mph
I hear ya ken but still, I've had more then a few maxis in the last ten years and the 2hp ones have been like 10% of the ones I have found. 1.5 hp maxi will still go 30, which is above legal ohio limit according to the moped laws at the time.
