Wow, that was mine. I hope it finds a good home.
same here
Is that the same picture you posted with Lar? He's down to $675 today.
Yes, it's the pic I took in front of my garage.
:/
Flipper...
If only it wasn’t on the wrong coast...
I would have already had it.
I'm the guy selling the bike... If I was trying to flip the bike I wouldn't have driven 6 hours round trip to sell it for a $50 gain! Just trying to recoup the money spent on the bike + travel so that I can pay for some bills. I would've held on to it, but I recently strained my lower back, so it really doesn't make sense (financially, or otherwise).
I never understood this. What’s so bad about flipping? You get to ride a cool moped for a little, maybe fix it up and tune it a bit, then sell it to someone else to enjoy. What’s the problem and why do flippers get such hate all the time?
Obviously if you’re scamming people on prices that’s a different issue but that doesn’t necessarily always go hand in hand with flipping.
I definitely understand the frustration with flippers when they buy something for a steal, then jack up the price and try and sell it to someone else.
In this case, I'm not trying to turn a profit... I don't even expect to break even, I am just trying to get on top of some financial debt since I can't really ride in my current state. I drove 6 hours round trip to purchase the bike from Lar for $600, and I'd be happy to let it go for less than that to someone from here. At least I would know it's going to a good home.
As for the FB/Craigslist listing, I figured I would be lowballed anyway so I set the initial price to $700. If anyone has any questions about the moped, or further doubts about my intentions in selling it, feel free to email me..

I agree, people do it all the time with cars.
If you bought it, it's yours to do with what you want and if you sell it days later for more money, good for you!
I messaged him on facebook, nice guy, he just needs the money real bad and really hates to have to put it up for sale.

The picture in the ad is one the you took not the actual seller?
There is a similar situation going on somewhere else but the og owner still has the bike under his owner ship.

I feel you on the back injury, just had one myself, SUCKS, glad riding season is over and all my bikes are upstairs in my place, my reaction was for one who buys low sells high, normally I would not care as if you own it you can do as you please, but 'Lar prices his stuff beyond fair, and he is a premier wrench, I would buy a bike from him sight unseen, if I could also afford shipping! :) Because he likes getting people into the hobby and is an all around good guy, so seeing his deal flipped rubbed me wrong, but life happens. Thanks for chiming in, if you can afford to keep it, a super unique bike. Heal fast and well.

My b (I spoke out before reading this). Yea back injuries suck! Plz get better, I wouldn’t wish that pain on my worst enemy
Same here Rocco, spoke without realizing. I suffered compressed discs for years , but with rehab, weight loss, and exercise ,10 yrs and counting ,no pain. Again , my apology Kevin. Get well!
