Looking to purchase an original kick stand for a 1979 garelli grand sport. With my kick stand up my rear tire still almost touches the ground .

Its not the stand. Its the center stand stop on frame that bent and or cracked. Degrease, clean and inspect. Common problem from idigits sitting on bike while on stand. Most likely looks like this: see pic, stand stop on left is curved and should be straight.

You are right mine shows to be bent not crack maybe I should try banging it back in with a 5 pound hammer thanks for the heads up.
