WTB PA50 clutch for variated motor

Looking for a front clutch for a PA50I that I just dropped a DR kit in and making variated. Need the inside ramp and clutch since this model only came with the single speed pulley and clutch

Re: WTB PA50 clutch for variated motor

So both the USA versions of pa50 1 and pa50 2 came variated. If you refer to the wiki under Honda ...differences between the two ..you will see exactly how the shape of the crank on the variator side differed and how the complementary clutch Bell or whatever it's called is the parts missing from your picture between the neat aftermarket variator and the case!!

If the crank is still pa 50 1 u need all the stuff there 50 1 . Using an aftermarket variator on a 50 ,1 crank with a performance kit ( Dr) is generally condemned as only creating a projectile when the crank shears off and sends the variator into either orbit or your leg. Now I confess to having a pa 50 1 on a stocko shocko and a notched variator ( thank you Emil btw!! ) And it's yet to separate but I wouldn't run a huge variator such as I think you want. If u replaced the crank on rebuild with a stuffy or a pa 50 2 then u need a 50 2 bell. I'm not sure where u got the single speed idea.

Re: WTB PA50 clutch for variated motor

If you indeed have a single speed version that motor will not just accept a variator like a Vespa motor do . Its said that the Drive-side crank is shorter, and obviously the transmission is different.

He has a new crankshaft in there now. The single speed crankshaft is in the bin.

Is this what you're looking for?

Re: WTB PA50 clutch for variated motor

@Stephen Simmons yeah I think that's exactly what I need. Not the whole case but the clutch bell inside the variator that you have there. Interested in selling me that piece?

And yes, thanks @Blake that's exactly what's going on. I have a european PA50I that was single speed with a little short crankshaft and the new crankshaft that I put in with the DR kit is too long for the single speed clutch bell.

So you just need the big bell that the variator bolts to?

Those one speed caminos are actually mad fun times

Re: WTB PA50 clutch for variated motor

I need everything between the variator and the engine case. I need the clutch bell as well as the fitting that the variator fits onto and I need the clutch itself.

Do everything on that end of the crankshaft in the pic?

William Johnson /

which crank did you put in it? That will determine if you need a pa50 1 or 2 bell.

I think so! PM me and let me know how to pay you and how much you want.

Re: WTB PA50 clutch for variated motor

James .. Blake said u out a new crank into the case.. what crank is it?? Make sure what is being offered matches that crank so:

Pa 50 1 crank ....pa 50 1 assembly

Pa502 or new stuffy crank ..pa50 2 assembly.

They don't mix.

I use a pa50i clutch assembly on a stuffy crank. I just had to switch out the spacer inside if I remember correctly. It's not a big deal to switch

Re: WTB PA50 clutch for variated motor

The new crank that I put in is the one from Dos Cycles that Blake posted.

Re: WTB PA50 clutch for variated motor

Pa 50 2. Get that. It's pretty common.
