Is there a drop in replacement motor with a bit more power for a Minarelli VI?

Re: Information on my General 5 Star 1984

No. But the v1 is a really great cantidate for increasing displacement. Get a polini 80cc top end and you will never want for power again.

How complex is the change out?

Wrong forum, go to performance.

That said, you can make an upgrade as simple or difficult as you want. Carb and a pipe will add a little pep to your step and it is a simple upgrade. A kit may require some porting/grinding and will also require intake/carb and exhaust upgrades.

The deeper you go down the rabbit hole the more it will cost you and the more you will open yourself up for additional failure modes from crank or bearing failures to seizing the motor to clutch failure.

The wiki would also be a great place for you to stumble through to educate yourself.
