WTB: Running E50 engine

Nathan Kuebelbeck /

I blew mine up (sad face)

Re: WTB: Running E50 engine

Why not just rebuild it? So easy a caveman could do it in an afternoon.

Re: WTB: Running E50 engine

Unless the case is broken a caveman could do it

def an option. was kinda curious what an e50 went for. if it costs less to get one than rebuild one....

Re: WTB: Running E50 engine

Keep a eye on craigslist, sometime you buy a whole parts bike for the cost of a rebuild and you still have the extra parts.

I found a Free spirit that wasn't running for 125. but then i went and got it running...by just going thru the carb.

so now i have two mopeds :)

Super easy to rebuild! All you need is bearings and seals.. maybe 35 bucks? A little more if you want to replace hardware and stuff.. then easy to match to a kit if you desire. If you need anything let me know, I’m in Hopkins, MN. Also, check the wiki for rebuilding an e50. It’s seriously a few hours of work, even for your first time.

thanks guy - in st cloud. my issue is I need a new crank because i gauled the small end bushing. so i need a crank, seals, piston to rebuild.

EDIT: I also lack most the specialty tools. so that's adding to my cost as well. see here https://www.mopedarmy.com/forums/read.php?6,4290096,4290503#msg-4290503(edited)

Was this on a kitted bike? And you don’t add tool the to cost because you will need them again.

Re: WTB: Running E50 engine

Nathan Kuebelbeck /

Overpriced Parts /

Put in or have some one put a new bushing in it if the rest is good

Shoot, come down here for a ride! Tons of us have the tools to help ya rebuild it, and I’d give you a stock crank for free.
