I'd totally put a moped engine on it... Use the electric to make it seem like you can ripp

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

I'd totally snatch one of those if they were 2600 dollars cheaper. That would be more in my price range.

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

So you scooped up some on. (pre?) sale? I've priced out building my own and this isn't too far off on the price based on the range +power I want

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

Ha, is that a ttlx seat

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

Nitro: thx but I’d rather trade for a bigger cc scooter if I did trade

Josiah: it definitely has room for it but still leaves me with wanting more out of it. I love this lil bike but I need something for my n the wife, bigger seat n more comfortable.

Ramirez: haha

Tuck: yea man for the price I’d say it’s pretty close as if u wanted to build one. It’s definitely a complete setup.

Thx again for the replies guys

so you're trying to ride doubles on it?

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

That must suck having to plug in to charge all the time. Its not clear how your power packs are set up. It seems that its easiest to have 2 battery packs of 36 volts each to power it. So with that said, Is there an easy way to charge 36 volts at a time off of solar? My solar panel peaks out at 24 volts so I'm just trying to figure out something simple.

Honestly with a 60-mile range you plug it in at night. When you're not using it. You can invert any DC power up to the 80v required to charge the bike, the thing you might run into is efficiency. You'll have to spend some money to get something with a real clean sin from 24-80v. If you go the long and gross way you lose tons of efficiency... 24vdc>120vac>72vdc is going to run at around 50% efficiency... YIKES!

Buy another solar panel

Sold

Thx guys!

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

Well , GLAD to see it's a really, really, real mo-ped. Electric or not. Not worth that kind of money compared to a gas powered though,IMO. No offense meant.

Don, gas powered are extremely underpowered compared to properly built electrics

I don't ride mopeds for power,Nick. I love em for just enough power to pull that hill, or go 40 if I need it. Otherwise, I take a long, slow ride in the country.

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

We all know that electric bikes have one weakness, that can’t go for ever especially at top speed so I think our gas powered bikes will be here for a lot longer then we expect.

Good idea but yea I can build I gas powered moped for under $500 bucks and keep up with that electric bike no problem and go further.

For something to be the futur it has to be better then what we have now.

Yea electric bikes are nice and quite but I need more range and they cost and arm and a leg to keep around. (edited)

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

Right...……...put another gallon of gas in, no waiting, and go another 100 miles. THAT'S moped life for me.

Both you two whack ass fools have no idea what you're talking about.

Neither of you could build/own a bike that is faster or more efficient than this. And neither could I.

Electric is the future.

Right now, electric is FAR behind. Get over it.

Exactly! Will the electric bike dude is trying to ether charge his battery or swap it out for another thousand dollar battery il be way past him. (edited)

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

A 60 mile range is not behind at all, most don't put that many on in a day, only barrier to my owning one of these is cost, and that too will come down.

My dear son that 60mile range is on eco moped! It takes off slow a is restricted to 25mph. They keep the sport mode mileage a secret because they don’t want to turn off the customer. Lmao

Electric is the future but its going to be awhile my dear son. The battery is way behind

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

They are better now than they every have been, and at today's rate of progress will improve quickly, people want a good battery, for better or worse, there are the recycling issues, but if people will pay, company's will produce.

The average person doesn’t have much to spend. Is going to be a very long time 30+ years before we see a large number of people buying electric motorcycles and cars.

You can buy a gas car for dirt, fix it up and it will last and go for Many, many, many more miles. Try doing that with an electric car.

Gasoline is our battery of choice right now.

I charge my electric car with a diesel generator

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

Right now I'd never buy an electric. My long trips would take forever.

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

If they were more affordable I would buy an electric moped, I never put on more than about 10-20 miles in a day, will wait on the cars though.

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

Had a dealer here in town selling crappy electric bikes that looked like mopeds for a while...on multiple occasions suckers that bought em asked me about my bike..

Broke their hearts when I told them how much I paid... lady said she got a loan for $1700 to get hers..but then again, seemed like dudes business model was to sell em to felons without a license..

Nowhere near the quality of this bike tho, shitty Chinese crap...think it was owned buy they same dude that had a pagsta dealership here 10yrs ago. Shoulda learned the first time around....

Re: FS: South FL: RCR Electric Moped(New)

If I could afford it I'd love an electric bike of sorts... More convenient if traffic is heavy and or you just want to grab and go. Just plug in at night... And bidy bap... 25mph for 60miles is pleanty fine. Infact other bikes that have multiple gears allow for you to pedal assist the Motor increasing range but still with a good speed. I know a guy who bought an electric fat tire mountain bike, on sport mode It'll do about 40-45. On the various other eco modes you'll do 15-30 with a combination of Pedaling or not. It cost about $1700 I believe.
