FS: 1977 and 1979 Motobecane 50V (San Diego)

Selling both my Mobys, I just don’t have anywhere to store them anymore.

Both are the “fast” cylinders, never ported. Lapped cylinders and heads with head gasket removed. New engine mounts. New tires. Reverse electrolysis done on the fuel tanks a couple years ago. The 1977 orange one had a few rust holes that I epoxied (not the prettiest job).

Additional older photo in my profile.

$1700 obo for both

Crazy price even for CA market.

Re: FS: 1977 and 1979 Motobecane 50V (San Diego)

It’s hard to put a price on love. Haha

They’re both in great condition with the exception of the epoxied areas of the orange one.

Good luck with the sale but that orange one needs a new frame. It is unsafe to ride it like that. I had a maxi with rust in the same area and it folded in half when i hit i pot hole doing about 15 mph. I have an identical orange frame l would let go real cheap if anyone buys this.

Re: FS: 1977 and 1979 Motobecane 50V (San Diego)

Just sold mine for 8 bills, titled and plated, new tires and belt, clean, needed minor work, I miss her already, but the buyer will ride her, that's all that matters. Buy these bikes!
