1980 Pacer Supersport

Thinking about selling my first moped. It was in real bad shape when I bought it. I was 14, and that was 18 years ago. I did a lot of work on it during college and it ran great and took me to class. It’s sitting in my in-laws shed in VA and I moved to CA 4 years ago and haven’t been able to get it out here and not sure I’d be able to ride it out here anyways where I normally commute. I rode it a year ago and it started up fine when I was visiting. Been stored with the fuel system dry. I’ll probably go for local Craigslist. Anybody can help me with a fair asking price? It’s been awhile since I’ve been into things...I’ve got some extra parts as well I never got around to installing like a Polini 65cc kit for the M1 engine. Makes me sad to think about selling but maybe time to pass it on to someone who has time to appreciate it

Wow, very nice Pacer! Freight companies or motorcycle movers will transport across country, if you wanted to keep it. It’s a beautiful bike.

Good luck either way!

You should get it to CA and ride to the OC vintage bike show with it:

Tri ped went to Chris Ryan in Columbus Oh.

The Garreli LTD SS XL went home with me.

That pic was shot on U.S. 50 somewhere between I-81 and I-79 as I cut through the woods. Great road "Tail of the Dragon" style.

What's the top rpm of the electric motor?

Tri-ped Dave O.D.B. /

Nobody has answered the question about price. It varies widely in different markets but outside a major metro area the range is $500-$800 for a nice top tank

Re: 1980 Pacer Supersport

you're a little under 2 hours from me. i shot you a pm

Re: 1980 Pacer Supersport

Thanks Dave for the reply! To everyone else, I'm currently in CA and not able to facilitate a sale, I will ponder the idea some more and update next time I visit VA. It won't be parted out.
