Sick of this little thing sitting on the shelf starting at me... please no poor sob schoolteacher stories, or that its worth $$$$$$. 140 shipped, done.
compressions good and it gets spark when a coils hooked up.
Is the stator and clutch on the same side? Never seen a motor like that before.
i think your right, it is on the same side, super trippy, its gotta go.
I feel like if you could find a 2nd one of these it would be prime candidate to convert into a 2 cylinder. Or just fuse it with a standard AV7 and make a twin.
I think this motor is awesome! Someone buy it
What do you mean by poor SOB schoolteacher stories......
youll know when u get one, very silly
new cady price of 100 shipped
dammit i wish i had another cady for this!
a mid/late 60's rigid with one of these first gen Isodyne single bearing crank motors are quiet, crazy lightweight, silly, fun, <20mph toys

I worked on a school teachers caddy. Could it be the same person?

I've got a couple parts engines.
in a possible answer to the good ''Baron''... i guess ''pat splat'' had some sob stories from school teachers needing a better deal than the normal guy.
some people might assume that a university professor might get around in a golf cart like in Hollywood frat movies.
thus...this 20 mph bike might be similarly suited.
When Cadys were being sold and advertised in Europe and Canada originally , they were promoted as transportation aimed at teens (mainly girls) to get back and forth from school, especially in rural areas. Their smaller wheels and frame made it a good choice for younger teens trying to get to class. Maybe this is where the school teacher reference is coming from.
The engines on Cadys were also made by Isodyne which is why they do not really look too much like a regular AV engine
how do you say "sold" in belgium, its outta my hands. Yeah the teacher wanted a freebie so he could teach his class how to rebuild a motor, whatever.
