1977 Puch Maxi moped, needs nothing, ready to ride.

This unmolested, unmodified, barn find moped has been completely gone over and needs nothing, it's ready to ride. All lights work including the brake lights, horn works. This is an all original moped- it has not been modified, worked over, or hacked up.

New fuel petcock, new fuel filter and fuel lines. All cables lubed and adjusted, transmission oil changed.

Equipped with the desirable Puch e50 engine in the rare full 2 horsepower version. Reliable, super simple, and easy to modify for higher output.

347 original miles

Original blue metallic paint in extremely good condition with a few minor scuffs and scratches expected in a moped of this vintage.

Mopeds are practical, fun to ride, easy to work on, and have a very active online support community - check out MopedArmy.com for the forums, local clubs, and informative Wiki. Parts are readily available ( and inexpensive) from moped sources like Treatland.tv, 1977Mopeds.com, and ebay. Expect 100+ miles per gallon!

Now the best part: This moped has a current, transferable NY Class C registration. This means low annual registration fee( $6.25), no required insurance, no required inspection, no motorcycle license required to operate(regular drivers license is OK), helmet use optional(but recommended). All the DMV work has been done for you.

The moped is located in Pomona, N.Y., an easy 25 minutes from the GW Bridge.

$645 cash, delivery to Manhattan $45, no trades for your Xbox thanks.

Mention moped army, get two brand new tires. (original tires are still on the bike!)

Yup-

There were like 10+ of those still in the crates in Queens or Nassau County.

Mine was found (still new & unassembled) on Long Island. The rest were snatched up by MA people, I was told.

Very fair price, especially in the NYC market.

If you want a good laugh, go to the NYC Craigslist & search mopeds!

It was with the moped, I don't remember if it was mounted on the front fender or was loose.
