I build motorized bicycles (CALIFORNIA)

I have a 2004 Yamaha R6, 88' Honda Trail 110, and 76' but I build custom motorized bicycles.

I have two BICYCLES that can go 55 Miles per Hour without peddling. For $500 I can put a nice 80cc 2-stroke engine on a nice cruiser bike, usually Schwinn, and you don't need a license, insurance or registration; just a headlight if you ride at night.

Totally illegal not to mention dangerous

http://www.moped2.org/laws/California.htm

Good luck telling the cops that that bike is legal because you say so? Do you hang a plaque instead of a license plate that reads "this bike is legal" "this bike is legal" ?

You'll get at least two tickets when you get pulled over on that China contraption but more like 3 or 4 tickets.

None of those are mopeds^ either. Go to scooter or motorized bicycle site and sell your illegal and dangerous bikes.

Shouldn't you at least know how to spell pedaling before spamming a forum with this bullshit and trying to sound convincing?

We have many in santa cruz. You cannot know how much of a gigantic immense hatred I have for these things. They're almost the one thing I hate the most in life, with the only other things being ISIS and Muslim extremists. I even like WBB more than these.

I hate these things. I've seen your stupid motorized bike pals do the dumbest shit, like run left turn lights and cut off/almost get creamed by oncoming cars, riding at 3 fucking AM with no lights whatsoever, ride on the sidewalk, oh man I hate these things. These things make it worse for us mopeders too, Oh man the next guy on one I see I'm going to hit him on my moped. Oh gee I'm getting really angry now. I best stop thinking about these things.

also they look like shit and will fall apart eventually. and those pot metal engines with pot metal con-rod bushings are laughable.

Don't cops do anything about them?

Re: I build motorized bicycles (CALIFORNIA)

I'm usually not doing blatently stupid shit and trying to get myself killed all the time and thinking I'm the coolest person in town because I paid someone to put a chinese copy of a disposable acnient russian army field generator for $500 and then ride hunched up because I think I'm so cool and above the lawn and just plain2cool4u.

Re: I build motorized bicycles (CALIFORNIA)

To legally ride that on public roads in CA you'll need at least an M2 and have to register the bike as a Moped... and with that insure the bike.

Or you could ride it around totally illegally.

Meant above the law. That is kinda funny though. not a bad idea either. I shouldn't type when I'm angry.

A couple guys have these here and I see them riding the shoulders. Not legal in the street- no longer legal for sidewalks- you ride the grey line

Re: I build motorized bicycles (CALIFORNIA)

Kiel the Canuck /

There are some folks in my area that ride them. Annoys the shit out of me.

Always strapped to some janky POS bicycle racing around town without any lights on. Completely illegal on the road here, you'd have to insure it, VIN it, register it, and they won't issue a VIN unless it meets road standards for a motorcycle.

Doesn't stop sketchy fuckers on craigslist from selling though.

Re: I build motorized bicycles (CALIFORNIA)

If they can't go faster than 30mph, aren't more than 2hp, have a title, moped license plate, insurance, headlight and red rear reflector, and the rider has at least a M2 license then I don't have a problem with them.
