Bump

Re: wtb m48 carb parts

I'm pretty sure I have a complete carb just needs a new jet. The jet in it was resized for the m56 conversion. I don't know if I have all the gaskets though, I have some felpro if you want to make the ones you need. The reeds are part of the intake I have it also just don't know about their condition.

a vespa shorty intake and a delorto 14,12 sha are a worthy upgrade FYI

What's the mod specs for jets on a 56 conversion, what size jets?

My friend works on heating and cooling stuff for houses, he had a set of drill bits used to drill furnace orifices. Smallest one he had was about the size of a sewing needle. the process I used was start with the size that would barely fit. I think it was a size 76, then slowly went up in size till it ran the way I wanted. I think I ended up using 74. I seemed to get the "power band" at around 15-17mph and carry me to 33-34mph and maintain with no problems. (I'm a pretty big guy, 215lbs) But I also had to remove the stock air filter to prevent it from choking on the fuel.

These are what they look like: http://www.andersonforrester.com/gauging-drills-with-handles

54 is the stock encarwi jet, which is also a round bing jet, for the 30 mph models, i think i was running a 57 in the SHA no airbox hiflow w/gutted stock pipe banged into a dogleg shape with 4" extender.
