FS: 1965 Honda S64

Steven Grant /

Not exactly a moped, but kinda in the neighborhood. Alright, maybe its around the block. Anyway, I'm selling it to fund another venture. The original motor had some transmission issues so I put a 110cc Lifan on it. Electric and kickstart. Runs great. Gas tank is clean. The downside, no title. I built this from scrap. So, before I part it out, I thought I'd see if anyone here would be interested in finishing it up. Asking $700.

Nice bike, bummer on the Lifan

Re: FS: 1965 Honda S64

Jesus lifan

Re: FS: 1965 Honda S64

you should be able to get 700 easy, even with the lifan. parted out you wont get shit.

It would be close. The headlight bucket is NOS. They are hard to find intact. That's almost worth as much as the Lifan.

Re: FS: 1965 Honda S64

That lifan looks solid on there. nice work, and you will find a buyer in AL or Ga since old bikes don't require titles.

Yeah, its a direct bolt on, no jerry rigging to get it to fit. The electronics are updated, 12v, so there was some wiring that had to be figured out.

Re: FS: 1965 Honda S64

I'd think that if you had the money and time to buy a Lifan... you could've found another Honda motor for a lot less and a lot better quality.

And to add... especially if you built this bike from scrap, why would you take the easy way out on the engine?

Re: FS: 1965 Honda S64

Yeah, looks great but ya lost me on the lifan. You could have found an engine for that bike. GLWS

Re: FS: 1965 Honda S64

Nothing beats a original Honda engine, but if its not the Org. that came on the bike anyways then who cares. Lifan's are stronger than most the other nock off Hondas.

It'll most likely last along time in that application w/ the proper maintenance. Good luck on the sale, cool bike.

Re: FS: 1965 Honda S64

The bike without the engine is worth $400-500. Take off the shitty Lifan, sell it for a hundred bux, buy a honda engine for $300 and you're at $700.

Re: FS: 1965 Honda S64

Shame you're so far away, i'd buy it NOW!

I like it. I hate the motor, ill be in westpalm from the 24th till the 26th..... if its still around id prob swing down and drop some cash on it..... but not $700 cash.... I do have PA tags for a red moped...... I could ride it back..... It would be just like that new kanye west video.......

jesus christ, what are you guys bitching about lifan for? half you guys are running fucking chinese K star kits and shit on your bikes anyway. The original Pushrod engine on that bike had ABSOLUTLY NO PARTS AVAILABILITY AT ALL!, I got a 62' cub. god help me if the motor goes, cause i'll be buying a lifan too.

Re: FS: 1965 Honda S64

You're a goddamn fool if you think there's no parts availability for honda cubs.

You're a goddamn fool if you think a lifan can come close to the original honda reliability

You're a goddamn lazy fool if you can't fix your honda motor.

I didnt even want to bitch about the Lifan, cuz I don't really care. it's fine for a temporary easy lazy bandage fix. It'll probably work for a few hundred, maybe even a thousand miles. whatever.

It does look great. I'd buy it. Absolutely would, but I just bought a bike, no room for more nonsense.

the honda cub is the most produced motorcycle in the entire world you cant take 5 steps in asia without tripping over a cub motor. parts are everywhere. you're likely thinking of the pc50 motor.

OMG I never imagined a BST post getting so serious. If you like it, make me an offer. If you hate it, STFU. I just love the references to lazy though. Looking at these names, there is not a single person here that knows me. I am far from lazy. I am up at 3:30am and into work at 4. I leave work at 3:30pm and pick my daughter up from school. I help her with homework and then start dinner so when my wife gets home at 6:30 or so, we can have dinner before 7. By 9 I am back in bed and it starts all over again. Now, I am not bitching. I like my life, love my wife and daughter. I have a good job with great co-workers. So don't anyone ever call or even imply that I am lazy because I have neither the time nor the skill to fix a busted up transmission on a motor.
