Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

We had a pretty nice group here for the past few years, but people have moved away and/or lost interest, and I am moving out of this house and state soon for grad school, so I don't really know what to do other than sell everything. I'd like to just see it all go at once for simplicities sake, but if you see a specific thing you want just let me know. There are several mostly complete bikes, 3 or 4 e50s, a za 50, a motherfucking shitload of general parts... probably 10-15 good stock jugs, bunches of heads, handlebars, tanks, there are 3 or 4 sets of brand new tires, cables, gaskets, Mikunis, there is a Motion Left pipe for a V1.... it's honestly just too much shit to be worth the time it would take to sell it individually, so buy it all at once, save me a gigantic hassle, and profit handsomely if you have the time to part it all out, of populate your garage and fool everyone into thinking you've been your town's moped mechanic for the past few years ^_^ There is some good stuff here, but I just don't have the motivation and especially the time to finish it all anymore... I'm graduating soon, applying to grad schools, taking tests, doing interviews, and generally am just way too god damn busy to care about finishing up 14 individual projects, so... my loss of a fuck to give might be your gain :D

The mopeds are-

a really rough Austro Diamler that should run with a bit of dicking with it, has spark, everything is there mechanically... missing stock covers but has the og engine, wheels, forks etc

2 maxi frames in varying states of completeness

a chopped pinto frame

a totally complete Ciao that doesn't have spark, bone stock and all there in pretty good shape

A V1 citybike that I had chemically stripped, electrocoat primes, and then began spraying black right when everything died. This is a complete bike that I was going to turn into my nice girl loaner. I have an MLM pipe for it, new unmounted tires, it just needs to be assembled and the paint needs to be finished etc.

the Magnum, white Tomos and blue Moby in the pics are not included. The Mag is the one thing I'm keeping and the other two are my roommate's.

as far as parts go... it's mostly Puch stuff, but there is a massive amount of shit.. I'll list off what I can think of

Magnum tank that needs pinholes repaired

complete running Gila that has been soft seized but after being cleaned up and ported did 62mph reliably as my dd for almost 2 years

a big Mikuni and K&N

an unused CDI new in the box

several sets of brand new tires, 16 and 17

several new petcocks

shit tons of new knarps, gaskets, cables, bulbs, and all of the other stuff you would keep around if you were the guy that was maintaining 15 other peoples bikes

shitloads of handlebars, seats, a few controls

3 back wheels, puch tomos and italian, one front puch wheel

tons of pipes, 3 are performance... one is a generic boss or whatever, one is a mid range one that i dont remember, one is a MLM for the citybike

3 e50s, shitloads of stock jugs/cylinders, heads, bings...

sprockets, hardware, headlights, and every other miscellaneous thing you can imagine

Bring a pickup truck and take it all home. I'd like to see 800 bucks for everything as a package. If I finished the AD and citybike I'd get that, and that's before the Ciao, or the pile of new stuff, and everything else, so I'd say that's more than a fair price. I'm certain that I am forgetting to mention a massive amount of stuff, but I'm pretty sure I've covered most of the higher value obvious things.

I am in South Bend, Indiana. ~2 hours from downtown Chicago, Kalamazoo, Grand rapids, 2 hours from Ann Arbor, 4 hours from Indy

best way to contact me is email, shpcarr@umail.iu.edu but I will try to keep checking this thread.

If you want any specific things, or have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks. (edited)

Pics of most of it can be seen here- http://imgur.com/a/3OWv3

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

The CDI is a generic Treats one BTW

I also forgot another bike, there is an 80CC Yamaha dirtbike included if you want it. No engine, everything else is there as far as I can tell (edited)

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

Just remembered that I have an MKII magnum trunk and dash that are included as well. Trunk has a door that works but has a chip out of it.

There is surely more good stuff I'm forgetting. Someone come get all this crap (edited)

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

800 dollars for all this? I think thats a great deal. GLWS

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

that is A LOT of stuff! DAMN!

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

If your willing....I'll buy just the magnum trunk lid if the chip isn't "that" bad. Send me a pic if you can.

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Oh, and that side "case" hanging off the side of the Ciao. I could that as well.

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

If your feeling generous and want to round up some e50 naked cases and some clutch arms, I'd be happy to pay for em. A three shoe plate would be mighty swell if you stumble upon it.

Hope you find a good home for it all.

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Are you willing to ship the puch AD engine and subframe?

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Dennis VanScoik /

I'll buy it all ! I have cash in hand and am only an hour away, I sent u an email already if u didn't receive one from dennis VanScoik then pm me on here and I will get in touch

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

Everything is pending sale Monday, sorry for everyone that PM or emailed me, I'd just much rather see it all go at once so i'm holding out for that. If it doesn't happen I'll do a better inventory and start selling it in chunks. Feels weird to be getting rid of all this stuff.

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Good god that's a huge deal.

Thanks guys, I'm not really trying to make money, I'd just like to see it all go somewhere where it can help people get more bikes going. My job for the last few years while I've been doing undergrad has basically been buying beat down stock Puchs out of old guys farm houses and then getting them running and selling them, plus I was the guy that everyone locally came to for work if they didn't know how to do it themselves, and all I ever really charged was keeping stock stuff that I upgraded, so this collection of parts will be really useful to anyone that wants to buy and flip Puchs, since I have several of everything for the most part... if you get in a broken Maxi, you will most likely be able to get it running with what I have here.

I spent a few hours yesterday cleaning the garage, and I gathered up all of my parts and laid them in the driveway to try to get a picture of everything this sale includes. It stretched the length of my city driveway from the garage to the sidewalk, and that without emptying the big yellow bucket or the red milk crate. Those are both full of parts. I also found an envelope that had an 80$ invoice from treats that was full of cables and other assorted new stuff.

There is one thing I need to clear up though, because I think there was some confusion with my original post. The 62mph running Gila I mentioned is *just* the jug and piston. I think it looked like I meant it was a fully built motor because I had a few people pm me about it, but by running I just mean that it has been seized and then cleaned up and is running again, but it is not a complete motor. There is more than enough stuff included to build it into a running motor, but it is not in that state now. It also does not include a head, I thought I had one for it, but apparently not, so it is *only* the ported jug and piston. I weigh 230 and it did 62 with me on a heavy Magnum, Devin gave me the specs to port it to and it worked well.

Also, the Citybike is not included anymore. My girlfriend freaked out when I told her that was part of what I was selling, and I apologize for changing the parameters of the sale, but it *was* supposed to be for her and apparently she still wants it, so everything associated with the Citybike is no longer up for grabs. I wish I could edit the original post accordingly. As far as I know everything is still sold as of Tuesday, but if that guy backs out I will begin selling things piecewise. Other than the V1 bike, everything from the original post is still included. Sorry to have to change it, but this is kind of a big deal for me, it's still a great deal, and I'm not trying to give away a bike my girlfriend wants.

So.. here is a link to an album of everything that is included in the package deal, and everything that is available individually if that falls through. If you have any questions feel free to ask, and again, I apologize for having to change what is included. I should have dug everything out and told her about it before making my original post... my fault :( I found another big yellow paint bucket full of parts after I took the picture, and also forgot to include the dirtbike, so that's a separate picture. It is a mid 80's Yamaha, I'm pretty sure it was an 80cc, the tank seems good though I haven't tested it... it's plastic so I doubt its leaky, the radiator looks good, the rims look good, the controls seem to be good, could be a cool toy for the price of an ebay motor.

Anyway, thanks for your patience. The album of everything that is included/available is here -----------> http://imgur.com/a/6Vy2Q (edited)

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

So did the deal go through?

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

Hey everyone, I have gotten 40 or 50 PMs and emails about this since I posted it, but I was waiting for the local deal. I've had three of them fall through now and it's getting a bit obnoxious, so I'm officially parting this all out beginning now! I am not going to respond to most of the mails and PM's that I received up to this point because most of them were fairly non specific, so if you haven't already heard back from me and you saw/see anything you want in the pictures I posted of everything in the driveway, please email me at shpcarr@umail.iu.edu and state *very specifically* exactly what you want, and an offer. I will combine shipping, and make deals if you buy multiple things. I'd like to get about 20 bucks for individual things like flywheels, clutch bells, clutch covers etc, 40 for e50 cases, I have a complete e50 I'd like 70 for, same for the ZA50 (I have never run either so I cannot guarentee their running status, but they both spin and feel good by hand)... I have a new magnum petcock, a new maxi petcock, an entire complete ciao, an entire complete beater AD, a new treats CDI, a new round Mikuni with K&N not sure what size but it was from treats, 3 sets of new 17" tires, cables, knarbs, bulbs, sprockets, Magnum tank that isnt dented but has a lot of pinholes on the bottom, mag dash and trunk with door that has 2 holes in, Murray wide swingarm... and every other part you can imagine x3... all Puch stuff.

I am keeping all of the V1 Citybike stuff, sorry about that again, and the Moby, Tomos, and Magnum that are in the original pics are not for sale, but everything else you see is. So email me offers and we'll go from there! Please DO NOT pm me on here, I check my email far more often and it comes directly to my phone, so you'll get a much faster response that way.

Thanks again, and sorry for the delay, I will begin shipping things as soon as they are paid for, so if I do accept your offer and then someone eventually decides they want to come get it all, they will be getting everything minus what you bought.

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Hi, Shane, I'm looking for a 1978 Benelli G2 center stand. Got one?...Sandy

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Sent you a email about the Murray Swing Arm...

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

Za50 is sold

AD swingarm and engine are sold, rest of the bike is still available, i think the forks are hydro, wheels are 16" 5 stars

Lots more is pending but this stuff has been paid for and is gone!

Get it while the getting is still good ^_^

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Sent you a email about some tires and that pinto tank

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

Magnum tank is sold

The pinto looking tank is actually off of a Sachs I think, but it should still work on a pinto or any tube frame bike. Has a good cock and gas cap from what I recall, in good shape overall. Would like to get 50 plus shipping for it

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

How about a couple of sets of decent 17" tires for some of my projects. I already have a Sachs tank like that.

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

Only have one set of new 17's as it turned out, guess I had used more than I thought, the rest of the tires turned out to just be ruseable old ones. The new ones are one Sava B4 17x2.25 and one 17x2.5 Heidenau K36. Will do 45 shipped for the set if you want to run a staggered setup. They would be about 75 shipped from treats. I also have a wide swingarm from a Murray to accommodate the rear tire if anyone needs that for an additional 30. I also have a bunch of stock tires that are still useable for 10 bucks each, in case anyone just needs a replacement on the cheap.

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

If anyone wants the Ciao I'd like to see 175 for it. It's all there, all stock, in pretty good shape overall, and ran all summer until it didn't anymore. No spark. Probably wiring or coil but I haven't messed with it beyond a bit of dicking with the plug wire.

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

do you have a rear tomos wire wheel?

Sent you an email this morning about the Murray swing arm

Re: Selling an entire garage's worth of years of moped stuff. Mostly Puch

Shane Antisocialite /

I don't, I'm sorry. I have two Puch rear wheels that are complete with hub, brake, brake lever, spring, axle blah blah, a front Puch wheel that is missing the brake side but I think I have it all in a bag somewhere, and an Italian rear wheel that is complete that came off of a Citibike. I'd like 50 shipped for each of the good Puch rears, 25 shipped for the front and it may include the hub stuff, just a matter of if I can find it and if it's what I think it is, and 30 shipped for the Citybike rear. All of them are in useable condition, the Puch ones are about average, the Citibike wheel is sorta rusty looking but came of of a bike that ran fine. All will need work if you are trying to build something super pretty, but they will be fine of the average bike.
