Hello everyone. I'm a long time reader, but first time poster. In a few weeks, I will be moving. Unfortunately, that means I have to sell this beauty. Below is the text from my craigslist ad.
Forged behind the Iron Curtain--in a country that has since ceased to exist, this rough-and-tumble 1984 Jawa 210 has been expertly crafted for those of us who take life by the horns. It has historically been the choice moped of bona fide badassses, including Ernest Hemingway, Jaques Cousteau, Buzz Aldrin and Vincent Vega.
The previous owner of this bike was some genius mechanical engineering student who put a lot of work into it. I finished off the job last summer, but it has been in storage ever since. Haven't been able to use it this year, so it definitely will need the carb cleaned out before it starts back up. It comes with a box of random spare parts, including another gas tank and billet pegs. I know the bureaucratic mess behind getting a project titled, so I went ahead went to a super-serious lawyer to get a title. No need to thank me.
I'm looking for around $400 cash, but I'm willing to take take off about half of that if you have a partial trade in mind. Options include an air balloon ride, very tall road bicycle, iPhone 3GS (keep it old school), original artwork, or anything else that's relatively cool. If you like hip/ratty retro projects, this is the bike for you.
