FS: 1977 Motobecane (W. Philly)

Myyke Nhortonne /

Welp, time to make room in my apartment for winter hibernation.

For sale is a running 1977 Motobecane.

Features:

-This is of the variated variety, new belt

-New SHA 15.5 Carb, lever choke

-New electricals

-New grips

"Features"

-Chrome is a tad dull and rusty in spots, but overall good

-Tank is a little rusty but a filter does the trick

-Broken tail light (bulb still works)

-A few dings here and there

-No sidecovers

-Nice old tires just waiting for a flat (not so good on the trolley tracks so replace that shit ASAP).

Additional Items (I will throw these in for free if you buy the ped):

-Original carb body

-Replacement rear fender

-Replacement swing arm

-Jets

No title but I do have an old PA plate for it. I will provide a BOS.

So you tell me folks but I think this is a good candiate for a near-stock restoration if you're into that sort of thing or a good first ped for a friend or loved one. Mostly reliable but just fickle enough to ease someone into tuning IMO. The engine purrrss really nice. Start up requires lots of pedaling in cold weather but once warmed up she is a quick start. Shit, this is making me sentimental. JUST TAKE GOOD CARE OF HER ALRIGHT. Asking $425 OBO. <3

Also: willing to trade for a good set of hydro forks (magnum sized, 27 inches ish), and/or General top tank.
