Re: I NEED A CARB FOR MY HOBBIT WHATS A GOOD ONE
Dont need longer shocks with my TedFab intake or if you know what youare doing (get your angles correct). Bonus, my carb sits nearly flat and not a rediculous bowl spilling 30 degree angle. I am 235lbs and i still have 1/2 clearance even when i bounce hard.
Disregard the rats nest of stock wires. I have since hardwired (a must)
But i will concede...throttle repsonse with stock Keihin was was hard to beat and MPG's plummeted but it does feed the beast.
And it is more spendy. Dont forget a range of main jets @$30, a range of idle jets @$20. I got lucky with the slide and needle but if you need to swap those out....another @$30. Not to take anything away from a Mikuni bc i love the VM 18 that came stock on my 1965 K15 (and still raging), but this dellorto is super sexy, well built, and once you get over the sticker price and overwhelming infinite tuning options, you can dial this thing in like a swiss watch. Plus, phbg race carb has 1 quick change main jet screw.Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/02/12 09:22AM by Brad Pitt.
