WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

Preferably small

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

tomos? 31? elonggate the hole.. ?

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

I though about that but I really dont want it off center at all. I dont trust myself. I should just do it or have it shopped.

also Derbi sprockets?

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

I had a sprocket.. cut and fitted for 40 at the local machine shop.. shop so old runs off everything off belts.. 3ft around and 20 ft long lathes they has.. 4 jaw is going to be needed.

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

4 jaw isn't necessarily needed, depends on the number of teeth. A 36 for example will work perfect in a 3 jaw. I would make 36t if I had them made.

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

yes salty I know that.

I was stating what they used bud.

That is all.

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

z sprockets are still made today.

I can order them but.. were talking not 1 or 2.. more like 50-100 of each unit.

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

1 more question...

Are you looking for a flat or dished.

What is the spacing on the holes I will look in my catalog.. if you would like.

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

what rim is this for?

bring it to me and we will look in the pile

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

I'm gonna jump on this but i'm looking for a 40-44 tooth to mod for a tomos wheel

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

Old school tt mag ? is the same bolt pattern as the italian z-sprockets. They change at some point. I had the center cut ont he lathe so it would be center on my wheel. I do not think I had to elonggate much. I thinking the number for .280 I had removed from the center been a long time.

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

italian hub is smaller then the tomos, slot the bolt holes, feeler gague to center a tomos 28 on the italian hub.

you'll need to enlarge an italian gear to fit on the tomos hub i bet.

centering the tomos 28t on a garelli wheel

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

I was talking about tomos mag and using a minarelli z42 sprocket. I didn't want any hop hopping on the chain glenn.

machine shop is the only way to go imo. No guessing.

Re: WTB Z-type italian rear sprocket

I have two NOS Z-50`s and one very good used Z-32.
