Re: wtb: moby exhaust nut

The nut is built into the stock pipe. How is it you need only the nut?

unless its an older moby, the header is long and thin, and is clamped on to the baffle. but, thats the only way i can think of

Re: wtb: moby exhaust nut

maybe he is making a custom fabbed one but wants to use the threaded design?

Re: wtb: moby exhaust nut

I was thinking on the 32 or so mm nut that screws into the cylinder. Are you thinking the nut that holds the baffle in place?

Re: wtb: moby exhaust nut

it is the 32 mm nut that screws in to the cylinder. its not built in to the pipe, its held on by a snap ring. the one that came with my new performance exhaust has a couple of bad threads that will destroy the threads on my new cylinder. any one have one of those?

Re: wtb: moby exhaust nut

If the threads on your new one are just dinged, you could possibly file them into their correct shape. Just as a last-ditch fix...

i dont know about that snap ring business, but i do know that i have like 3o stock moby exhausts hanging up in my shop.

12 bucks gets one to your door

Re: wtb: moby exhaust nut

could you send me a picture of your finest specimen. i would totally be into taking one off your hands if it's the right pipe.
