Re: 77-80 Express Parts

I emailed you August 26th, about the parts I bought from you. Haven't had a response from you yet. Why?

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

I did respond. Check the junk mail. I know you got them. Delivery confirmation???

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

There has been no response to my August 26th email, even in my junk mail. You responded to earlier ones, before I got the parts from you, but not to the one I sent you AFTER I got them!

In fact, your comments above don't make sense if you read that email. In it, I said I GOT the package, but emailed about the parts that you sent me.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

you got any gas tanks or oil level windows ?

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Post the delivery confirmation number here to prove the package got there and the mystery will be solved.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

There IS no mystery that the package got here. I acknowledged that I got it in my August 26th email to him. I wrote him about a problem with the parts I got, and haven't heard from him in response to that email.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

I also said that I got the package in my posts above, too! Never denied getting it.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Delivery confirmation 0896 9010 1730 2500 1053 nearly a month later you complain. Was it broken? I insured the package.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

I explained in my email on the 26th, that I was out of the country from July 28th-Aug. 23rd. My neighbor was collecting my mail for me while I was gone. I got it from him on the 24th. I had a lot to do here after being gone so long. I didn't open most of my mail, and the package to check out the parts, until the 26th. I wrote to you then, that night.

No, parts weren't broken, but there's a problem with what I received. I was trying to contact you first before bringing anything to this forum, because I thought that would be the most fair thing to do. But...if you want me to explain what was wrong here...I'll be happy to!

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

If something is wrong with them claim the insurance that is why it was provided.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Insurance is for covering damage to, or loss of, the items that were shipped insured! It doesn't cover my receiving some things that are different from what was agreed upon in our deal!

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

a very inaccurate statement. Sorry to say, things were as described.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Look, you got it. you got everything it wasn't damaged. WTF are you bitching about?? the mirrors are the same shape and size correct? What do you want? after all this time has passed?

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Nope, my statement is not inaccurate. I'll take a few pictures of exactly what I received. I'll go back to my saved emails between us, and to the PayPal payment details, to get the specifics...regarding the parts that I was buying & was to receive from you. I'll post a link to the pics & the specific agreed upon parts info. here. We'll see how inaccurate my statement was!

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Dispute the payment with paypal. You got what you paid for.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

YOU are the one who brought this here, instead of responding to my email sent to you Aug. 26th, or getting in touch with me by email in the last few days. I even tried to be non-specific about what the problem was, in many of my posts above, again...hoping you'd email instead. I tried to be more than fair to you & keep it off this forum.

WTF am I bitching about? I made a deal with a total stranger in good faith based upon our emails and your experience (and I assumed reputation) here on the forum. Turned out my "gut instinct" about doing that was right.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

You got exactly what you paid for.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

I am looking for handlesbars for a 1980. I want them with the turn signal bars still attached preferably not broken and welded back on. Oh and rear brake cable if you have one along with rearview mirrors

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Here you go, Mo.

The link to the picture I told you I'd provide, to show what I'm "bitching about", is above. The details below are exactly what we agreed upon that I was purchasing from you.

(1) working ignition switch & key from a 1980 Express

(1) matching pair/set of mirrors from a 1977-80 Express

(1) single slightly different mirror from a 1977-80 Express

The actual mirror parts themselves are all alike, no problem there. But there is NO way a matching set of mirrors can be made using ANY combination of those 3 rods! The bend angles, length from the threaded part to the bend, etc. are all different, let alone 1 being painted black. No way I'd put any 2 of those on either of my near-mint condition 1980 NC50 Expresses!

Please tell me now again...that I got what we agreed to! BULL!

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Well, the picture link didn't work. So, we'll try this:

Oh, and I know it's been a long time since I said I'd post this stuff here. But my taking care of an ill family member, who just this last week passed away...took precedence over me taking a picture and posting here.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Try again - link above.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

just give the guy his money back, it looks like those parts are worthless to him if he is doing a restoration.

It sounds like he is pretty clear and precise whereas your favorite comment is "you got what you paid for" if i buy a hamburger with a mouse in it does that mean i got what i paid for? or when the hooker turns out to be a tranny does that make me gay? no the answer is NO.

he paid for a matching set you sold him some random ones .....

JC there is a bad seller thread floating around you could always cut and paste this there.

Re: 77-80 Express Parts

Thanks for agreeing with me, Rachid, that what we agreed to what NOT what I received. There was definitely no doubt either, that he knew exactly what I was agreeing to buy & for which of my 4 NC50 Expresses. Emails & the invoice through PayPal all show the parts exactly as written above in one of my posts. I just copied & pasted it here!

In our initial emails I told Mo I definitely wanted a matching pair/set of mirrors for at least 1 of my near-mint 1980's. They both have all original parts & less than 300 miles on them. He said he had a matching pair & quoted me a price. I asked about maybe another pair for the other 1980. He said he'd check, but doubted he had one. Came back & said he didn't have another matching set...just one oddball mirror. Told him I'd take it also, for one of my 1981's I just putz around on out here in the country. They aren't the best ones of the 4 I have, so ANY mirror on one of them would be better than none. Also bought the ignition switch & key to replace on one of the 1981's that has a broken outer ring & no key from the previous owner.

So, there is a topic about bad sellers? Someone told me, when I'd posted in another discussion, that I should post about this seller there, but I said I wanted to give the seller the chance to contact me & handle it with him first if possible. Oh well!

By the way, I'm not a guy. I'm a gal who's recently gotten interested in these scooters & in riding my little 1970 Honda Z50 again. Retirement does wonders sometimes to rekindle old interests.
