Bought the bike yesterday and had it completely torn down in under two hours... man this bike is simple!
This was some old guy's bike up in Maine and has under 1500 miles on it (think 1200, but I'd have to check again). Always garaged!
He sold it to some kid who tore the air cleaner and rear fender off, removed the oil tank, and ran straight gas through it till it seized. Awesome.
So, instead of sinking tons of money I don't have into this one, I'm parting it. I'll sell things off it for a week and then the rest goes on ebay.
So, some highlights:
Except for oil tank, rear fender, airbox, and rear wheel (snapped spoke), the bike is totally complete and nearly mint. Nothing broken, nothing rusty (little bit on the rear rack), and nothing cut except some connector under the seat (main harness uncut).
Red 1986 Suzuki FA50. Have previous registration, goes with the frame if you intend to use it and register.
Brakes front and rear look new.
Front wheel assembly in great shape... tire looks good, brakes work perfect, speedo sending unit good.
Engine complete and everything seems good except for being seized and kickstart lever being stripped.
Dashboard complete with key and looks perfect.
Headlight assembly has light pitting but all there.
Seat has some cracking on the rear seam but otherwise looks awesome. Perfect for a daily rider!
