alright...here we go. you know what it is.
some big changes have taken place since last week. i cleaned off the paint overspray that was caked all over this thing and confirmed that it has spark. i thought the paint was going to be a huge hassle to get off...but it wasn't. the paint on the frame and forks looks great, and nothing was harmed by this latex.
overall the bike is in real great shape and just over 2000 miles. the tank could use a new coat of paint and decals, but otherwise the rest is great. if you are planning on doing a proper restore, you aren't far from getting it done. i have a few other projects and no time for this....not to mention the space, plus i have another LTD...one is enough. i figure that i will clean the small amount of rust that is in the tank this weekend and try to fire it up. i would expect to have it running before anyone came to pick it up.
$1700 and it is yours. i don't want to have to package it up to ship. there is too much that could go wrong with that. either you'll have to pick it up or use a service like uship or something (they seem to be cheap anyway).
to make it clear, some things you would need to do to make it proper:
- get the front fender black chromed
- paint the gas tank
- get a front fairing
- get new decals
- do whatever tuning you want.
- repaint or touch up some spots on the mags
- the tires are fine, but kind of ugly...get some new tires
