Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller

Downhill Harvey (OFMC) /

bump, I'm interested in one too.

Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller

post a pic of the tranny.

maybe this part can be made by someone.

pic of the puller maybe?

Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller

do you guys mean something for getting the rear pulley off?

im not really sure what you mean, but if you mean that then you can do it without any special tools.

Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller

Yeah, to pull the pulley off. I'm taking the gears out.

I was told I needed something specific, because it needs to have a particular threading. I'm looking into finding one for a Derbi, but no luck thus far.

Bah.

Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller

contact benji.

Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller

why you taking the gears out? please dont tell me you've got the malossi gears? i'd be so jealous.

you can get the pulley off very easily without the tool, it is a waste of money imo.

see these threads for how to do it:

and

https://www.mopedarmy.com/forums/discuss/read.php?f=6&i=23047&t=21472

basically you unthread the nut, that is holding it on, until it is flush with the top of the threads and then give it a sharp whack with a mallet, this is enough to break the friction bond between the pulley and shaft and the pulley will slide right off

Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller

Hmm, may look like it's worth a try!

If I can't find what I need within the week I'll probably be trying these- I'm starting to get impatient!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller

if i remember right just take the nut off and the pulley just comes right off by hand

Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller

f'realz?

Peter from the GR told me I needed the puller.

Re: wtb: Honda rear trans puller
